From Great Barrier to Waiheke, Casey Walker Thrives on Connecting with Sealegs Customers

At Sealegs, we believe the marine industry isn’t just about boats - it’s about people. Women are playing an incredible role in shaping this space, both in New Zealand and worldwide, and Casey Walker is a shining example. With two years of dedication to Sealegs’ frontline customer service team, Casey brings passion, innovation, and a deeply personal touch to everything she does.

Casey's story

As part of the Customer for Life team (looking after lifelong Sealegs customers), Casey thrives on building relationships with Sealegs’ incredible customers. “I feel immense gratitude because we truly have the best clientele,” she shares. Sealegs fully supports our customers by providing ‘land based rescues’ via an on-call technician contactable 7 days a week – including Christmas and New Year's days. Whether responding to emails or calls, Casey ensures each customer feels valued, helping to cement Sealegs’ reputation as a global leader in customer care.

Casey’s efforts have been instrumental in maintaining strong connections with Sealegs’ key “hot spots.” On Waiheke Island, for example, the team has stationed a dedicated service technician—a testament to their commitment to quality service. In Opito Bay, Casey and her team conduct a major annual service run, visiting over 15 boats and staying for two weeks to ensure every owner is supported. Meanwhile, Great Barrier Island’s loyal “Great Eight Barrier Crew” enjoy a personalised two-week visit each November.

Her passion extends to new and growing customer bases, such as the enthusiastic group at Langs Beach and the far north’s early adopters, expertly serviced by Sealegs’ technician in Kaiwaka. Additionally, Casey takes pride in Sealegs’ partnerships with Coastguard teams, admiring their vital, life-saving missions and how Sealegs boats enhance their operations. For sea rescues, Sealegs refers to the fantastic Coastguard teams, so if you haven’t already, please sign up for that essential membership!

Looking ahead, Casey dreams of joining the sales team, perhaps to help customers upgrade their preloved models, with a very ambitious goal of introducing the first pink Sealegs boat to the range!

Casey’s story is a testament to the immense contributions women are making in the marine industry, proving that passion and hard work can leave a lasting impact.
